54th Biennial Convention of Grand Chapter Held
June, 2009 - Carefree, Arizona
The 54th Biennial Convention of the Grand Chapter was held in June, 2009 in Carefree, Arizona.
Grand Chapter medalists were: Steve Beering, Chi -- Irving S. Cutter Medalist (for service to medicine); John D. Ayres, Pi -- Jesse Ansley Griffin Medalist (for service to Phi Rho Sigma); and Wade Swenson, Theta-Tau -- Paul Larimer McLain Student Research Award.
Student representatives from Indiana University attended. They plan to re-start Pi Chapter in the near future.

Pi Chapter to be Restarted
Indiana University
Plans are being made to restart Pi Chapter at Indiana University. IU students interested in forming the chapter attended the 54th Biennial Convention in Carefree, AZ. The chapter has strong support from alumni and former Grand Chapter officers living in the Indianapolis area.
Eta Chapter Re-Chartered
Creighton University
The Grand Chapter has presented a new charter to Eta Chapter at Creighton University in Omaha. Eta has been re-founded through the great effort of Carol Drake, Iota, with the assistance of Iota Chapter and Iota Benefit (the Iota alumni association). The Creighton administration has been supportive of having a Phi Rho chapter, and Creighton students have shown strong interest.
