53rd Biennial Convention of Grand Chapter Held
June, 2007 - Omaha
The 53rd Biennial Convention of the Grand Chapter was held in June, 2007 in Omaha, Nebraska. Iota chapter hosted a great program. A new charter was presented to Eta Chapter at Creighton University, which had been inactive for many years.
Grand Chapter medalists were: Robert G. Wigton, Iota -- Irving S. Cutter Medalist (for service to medicine); Bruce A. Norback, Theta-Tau -- Jesse Ansley Griffin Medalist (for service to Phi Rho Sigma), and John H. Bishay, Iota -- Paul Larimer McLain Student Research Award.
Eta Chapter Re-Chartered
Creighton University
The Grand Chapter has presented a new charter to Eta Chapter at Creighton University in Omaha. Eta has been re-founded through the great effort of Carol Drake, Iota, with the assistance of Iota Chapter and Iota Benefit (the Iota alumni association). The Creighton administration has been supportive of having a Phi Rho chapter, and Creighton students have shown strong interest.
